new guy-kc area

Hey fellas, new to the site. I've been on other truck sites, but none near as active as this one. I'm excited to have found a place chock full of so much info.

I know I'm brand new and all, but I'm looking for some help. I've got an e99 f250 7.3 diesel. I've been informed by a fella in the transmission section that I need to hook my truck up to a scanner. It's having some quirky shifting (electrical) issues.

Any chance somebody has a scanner I could plug in to? I'd be willing to pay for the help.

Thanks a bunch guys. Looking forward to a good time on the site.

Welcome to the Missouri Forum, a good bunch of people on here, with some useful, and not so useful information.

At one time Cottmann Transmissions (all over the KC area) would diagnose tranny issues free, worth a shot anyway.

Unk Bob

Welcome new guy-KC area/rohleder644, we are like ubreal (an x Mo chapter guy exiled in NC) said, chock of information and its all good, bad and otherwise. lol

I have no clue about your trans issue personally, but the diesel forums are full of ideas and advice. Make sure to stop by the monthly chat/bs thread we we all keep tabs on each other.

Once again welcome to the club and tell your friends about FTE and the Mo chapter.

Welcome from north of the river! I am having a tranny issue on the wife's exploder, so I know your pain. Good luck as I do not have a scanner and the local oreilly's toons couldn't read my codes.

Welcome the the forum. I am also close to KC. Should be able to find someone local to hook it up to a scanner. Midway Ford has always done good for me there off 210 hwy just east of NKC

For none paid supporters, I think this will work.

Here's How to Post Pictures:
1. Login to FTE.
2.Click User CP (In the Top Left Hand Corner)
3.(On the Left, There will be a list, The 5th Option Down, will say "Pictures & Albums) Click That.
4.Then, Click Add Album, Enter a title, and description, if ya want to.
5. Click Upload Pictures, Then click Browse, Locate the Files of your truck. (You can add 3 files at a time)
5. Click Upload.
6. Add a description to the individual pictures, then click save.
7. Add more files if ya want.
8. Click The Picture you want to post, it will give you two codes at the bottom, Right Click The Second one (It say's BB Code, Then Say's [IMG]http:blahblahblah...[/IMG])
Then, Once that is highlighted, Right Click, Then Copy, Then Paste it into your post.
You can add up to 30 Images in one FTE Post.

Anytime something says "Click the image to open in full size" it doesn't work.

Just right clicking on an image and copy and pasting always works for me.
