Upholstery/seat question

OK...got a hair up my bum and decided I wanted a power passenger seat on the 2006 KR. Looked under the manual seat and the wiring is there. So ordered a seat from a 2003-2006 Eddie Bauer from a recycler on www.car-part.com. I was thinking it was going to be like my Mustang in that the "seat" is bolted to the power seat track and the seat track does all the adjusting. Wrong...the fore/aft is on the seat track, but the height/tilt is part of the seat itself. Said another way, if you unbolt the seat from the track, the fore/aft motor stays with the track and the height/tilt comes with the seat.

So...can a good upholstery shop change the seat covers from my manual seat to the power seat? I don't know anything about upholstery so not sure. The Castano in the KR is in very good shape I and would rather keep the manual seat than risk getting the leather ruined. However, if it easy-peasy for a shop that know what they are doing, then will check that out. Let me know your thoughts.

BTW, the Eddie Bauer seat was heated/cooled if anybody needs any of those parts. I could send out for shipping.

Chris
