Belt routing question
I have a 1977 highboy with a 351M. I have installed a Nostalgic Air AC. The belts are currently:
inside belt-Alternator, waterpump and crank
outside belt-A/C, idler, crank
I am installing PS using a Saginaw pump and want to know if there is any reason I shouldn't use the AC, idler, crank loop for the alternator and put the PS pump on a loop by itself. This is the easiest way for everything to line up. The compressor is a Sanden.
Thanks,

Your best bet would be to add a sheeve to the crank or see if you can find a double sheeve setup for the alt / AC.
OK, I couldn't figure out how to add a pic so I will add them to my garage. Give me a minute or 2.
Good evening.
Thanks for the reply. I checked in the parts that the PO gave me with the truck. There was a 3V crank pulley and the correct smaller WP pulley. I put them on earlier this afternoon and EVERYTHING lined right up. The alt is on a crank pulley by itself, the AC is on a crank pulley with an idler and the PS pump is on the crank and WP. All I need are 2 new belts and I'm in high cotton.
Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
