this past month when I put a new radiator in my 06 250,the antifreeze looked very clean,we even poured through a piece of white sheet to strain it and not one piece of grit or grime was in it.
the degas tank even looks new,and I have owned this truck for 4 years, and its never been changed.
I guess what im trying to say is I have friends with 06's and 07's that wasn't this clean when the antifreeze was drained,so where is all the crud in mine, should I put a coolant filter on it this spring.it has 119,000 miles or is it too late?
The "crud" has rooted itself on all the metal parts of the system. If you still have the old radiator, pop the tanks off and look at the cores. A coolant filter is always a good idea.

we did take the bottom tank off, cause that was the one leaking, and it was clean. im stumped.
