fouling plugs
my buddy has a 302 with a mild cam carb and intake, headers etc. he keeps on fouling the plugs on a weekly basis. he installed teflon valve guide seals to try to fix the problem but it didnt help. the engine has low miles on it. he leans out the carb but it still fouls the plugs and blows out grey smoke when he gets on the gas. any suggestions?

What type of ignition are you running? If it is an aftermarket system with alot more fire you may need to open the gap on the plugs. Might need to change the heat rang. We need more info about your motor and ignition.

This is my car. I have pertronix ignition, with moroso wires, and have installed two steps hotter plugs. Still smokes, still fouls plugs (they are black, but dont have soft carbon on them, and smell like oil). WHAT THE HELL?
