Starter/solenoid advice
Both failed in a day or so.
Along with a few other brands: BWD, Standard, KEM, from the auto parts stores.
The $100, silver contact, diode suppressed one I bought didn't do the trick either.
I looked at continuous duty winch relays....
I don't really care whose name is on the box, or where it's from, as long as it works without fail.
I've been buying a bit of it lately, it's getting used on trucks and earthmoving gear around my area. It was the only quality gear I could get to carry high current.

One I still have on a Land Rover I installed in '85 has a little button on it so you can operate it manually. Comes in handy when you want to crank the engine for a compression test, or to set the points and the like.
Unfortunately they don't seem to make that model anymore.
The one I referenced in an earlier post is the model I also use for winches, just need 4 of them.
