Where are you guys mounting your gauges in trucks with air conditioning? In my last truck which had no AC I put them to either side fo the main cluster where the dash vents would be on an AC truck. Now I have AC and not sure where to put the gauges. Currently I have 4 gauges below the dash but it sucks having to look below the dash. If something goes bad by the time I look at the gauges the damage will likely be done.
I'm getting ready to order some new gauges so I have everything I want to monitor. I'll do Autometer GS as I think they'll look right with the factory gauges, if anyone has other suggestions that look right in these trucks I'm open to it. I'll have 7 gauges total. Ideally I'd like to have all of them easily visible at a glance without moving my head, looking down, etc. That's probably not gonna happen though given the space available. I'd like to at least have 3, or preferably 4 gauges easily in line of sight.
The others not so critical and I can check from time to time or as needed. Where are you guys with AC trucks putting your gauges?
I have three installed in mine: oil pressure, coolant temperature, and vacuum. I mounted the oil pressure and temperature in front of the storage hole on the cluster panel. They are easily visible and the steering wheel does not obstruct them. Vacuum isn't as important for me to monitor so I put that under the dash.
