What tuner to get

I have a 2011 F250, Im thinking about getting a tuner and deleting the DPF, EGR, and the DEF system. What do you guys recommend for a tuner and where to get everything that I need. Also I seen kits for EGR cooler removal and I have just seen the block off plates to remove the EGR valve, I don't know what to go with. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

H&s is the best. I bought a full spe egr delete kit, but ended up using the block off plates only.

Got most of my stuff through spe, they are good to deal with and very helpful.

Another vote for H&S and Snyder Performance Engineering (SPE)

I got an h&s through Spe also but it was the only option for the 13, I would've got a spartan if they were available but they only work on 12 and lower model years. They haven't got it working on the 13s yet.

I am running an H&S tuner with full deletes as well. I have 56K on it with no regrets. Works awesome!

Thanks guys, it looks like H&S is the way to go. I've been researching and I think I'm gonna try and find the Minni Maxx race tuner.

I just put a Spartan tuner on my 2012 f250, along with EGR and DPF delete, runs great. I also had to make a call in to Spartan and they were extremely helpful, also emailed me some updates that I asked for. I bought the full EGR delete and only installed the plates for the time being. I have several friends with the H&S and they really like them as we'll.

I don't think you can go wrong with either one.

As far as the EGR goes, how do you guys feel about the total removal of the EGR cooler compared to just installing the block off plates and using a EGT sensor that I remove from the DPF, and leaving the cooler intact. I was reading that I can also disable the EGR with the tuner, what's your guys opinion on that too. This is my first diesel and I'm not really sure on some things.

I would do the plates and let her breath some clean air, it doesn't take very long 15 to 20 min. Need an 8mm wobble socket and an extension, and if you have to return to stock for warranty work it doesn't take long.

Full delete is a couple hours from what I've heard, I have not done it.

Here's the sinister full delete it sure looks sweet, not sure of the advantages. I'm sure someone on here will chime in

IMO.... If you just use the block off plates the EGR cooler will still have exhaust recirculating thru it. The EGR cooler will be incapable of ever being used again if you need to return to stock in the future. My thinking goes if it's going to ruin the cooler then why not just take it out.

A lot of guys have used just the block off plates. I haven't heard any complaints as far as functionality..

This Saturday I'm taking the entire cooler out!!

I haven't deleted yet, hopefully soon. But my thought process would be why worrying about having to put it back to stock if your warrenty is already ruined from having the tuner in there.

Here is a few reasons....
1.) if you move to an area that does emissions testing
2.) to help with resale value & increase potential buyers..( not sure if a dealership will buy/trade for a deleted truck).
3.) if the EPA decides to crack down further and start emissions testing where you presently live.

If your not "worrying" about ever returning to stock then even more reason to take the entire EGR cooler out.. I'm taking my cooler out in case I need to use it again someday.

I might be wrong but my understanding with just using block off plates is, you remove the exhaust pipe between the exhaust manifold and the EGR itself thus stopping the exhaust flow to and thru the unit???
