Thinking of a DDM Tuning kit as my stock lights are glazed over and yellow.
Lows are 9006 bulbs
Highs are 9005 bulbs
Anyone know what kind of kit I need in order to have low beams be HID and high beams still work as halogens? Just get the single low beam kit for 9006 bulbs and install?
Yes, but I would go ahead and pick up a kit for the 9005 high beams too. If you leave the high beams as halogens they will throw a yellowish light into what would otherwise be a bright white beam from your low beams. Kind of defeats the purpose. They will still flash when you want to use your high beams to flash someone, as the bulb sparks full bright when you flash it. Get the 5000k temperature color kit for both the highs and lows, that's the whitest light you'll get. Anything higher starts to look blue. Just message the seller when you pay for them, tell him the type bulb and the color you want. If your stock headlights are glazed over just replace 'em with the DEPO "Off Road" assemblies (they're black background instead of the shiney chrome, look much better...). It's not worth wasting time trying to clean the fatigue cracks and glaze out of the stock light lens.
OK Mike thanks, I am just looking at HID for the lows at this time since money is limited but the 9006 kit would work for the low beams and my high beams would still work as halogen, is this correct?
I could always order high kit at a later date if I wanted too.
