I have not done it on my 6.7L but I did it several times on 6.0L. The edge can display Check Engine Error codes and clear those codes. That has gotten my engine started and running instead of waiting for a tow.
The Edge will display my voltage. No guessing on what my alternator is putting out.
The Edge will display the Coolant temp in digital # vs a needle pointing somewhere between Hot and Cold.
I also hook up a camera on the back of my trailer to the Edge. Use the Navigation screen for the tailgate camera.
I have the edge and I think it paid for it self first road trip. 1400 miles and some on my new truck on a road trip in Northern California I get an Exhaust Fluid fault or something like that. I stop check it out with my Edge record the fault code clear the code and drive to the nearest town and buy 2.5 gal of DEF. The code came on a couple more times within a few minutes, I cleared it each time after about the third or forth time it has never been on again.
It is worth it to me to be able to diagnose and repair my own truck if I can, and the Edge at least gives me a fighting chance. Because I think we all know Mr. Murphy, if something goes wrong it is on a Friday night or over the weekend and to add to that on a trip somewhere.
I also like to monitor the different parameters on the truck.
Thanks guys. All very interesting. Still pondering purchase. Would make a great Christmas present. Too bad that's over. Wait, my birthday is this weekend... gsxr1300, I'm on the other end of the state just past Springfield. Thanks a lot for the offer, but I think I'm sold. I wish their dash pod was application specific for our trucks and black instead of light grey. I'd almost rather suction cupping it than having something mismatched on my dash. One other question. Why on the Edge CTS website does it talk a lot about various tunes when everyone here says it's just a monitor?
I ordered mine Saturday from Amazon for $315, it will be delivered today. Now when I click the link on my receipt it shows the $339 price, timing is everything!

Well, being someone who buys on Amazon almost every day, that tells me one thing. To leave it in my cart for a few days and it will go back to 315. It may even go up first. They constantly cycle prices. Just have to watch for the drop... There's also a vendor on eBay selling for 344 with best offer available who may do 315. If Amazon doesn't drop, I'll make him an offer. When there's no hurry, it's fun to shop...
I shouldn't have posted that Amazon price on here. There's been a run since! Sold 5 in the last couple of hours... LOL... Won't help my price drop cause at all....
I talked with Edge today about the pod for the 6.7. My '13 has an overhang on the dash on the left that my '10 didn't have so the CTS keeps trying to come down. He said that they didn't realize that there was that much difference in the dashes on the newer trucks, so they are sending me a windshield mount for mine . I am going to try to Dremel out the area of the overhang some more and see if I can get it to fit better. Right now, the glare on the screen hides the numbers on it because it sits facing the rear of the truck and not facing the driver the way the pod was designed. I'll try to let you guys know if I am successful. I am worried that taking too much plastic out of the pod that there will not be enough room for the adapter to miss the dash itself.
I like the idea of the pod, but it sits a little low and not enough angle for my liking. I have the suction cup mount as low to the dash as I can get it right next to the grab handle and it is the perfect height and angle. I really don't understand why people are so against the suction cup. The mount is not visible from the driver's seat. It is very visible from the outside, but unless you have 5% tint on your door window, the pod puts the CTS on display for would be thieves just as much.
The Edge suction cup (Arkon) is so good that I purchased one for my garmin GPS .
It stays on there for months instead of the daily reattach routine I went through for years with garmin oem mount.
