My husband and I just joined. We're really big into the 4WD events. We've been judges during a few events, Pro Rock @ Disney, Ok., Ramsey National,Rocktoberfest,Mudstock 2000 & 4X4 Wars @ Cass,Ar. We can normally be found with Gaines Woods, Ed Hoffman or Mike Childers(the government mule).(for any of you "locals" who have been to any of these events.)
My husband has been building his own comp. rig for only 5 years on & off now. It's a 1985 Dodge Ramcharger 4X4. He's got it properly ready for hunting. The paint is in camo. and the frame is hunter orange.lol It's SLOWLY getting completed, but he's not really been into to big of a hurry at this time. Got too many other "irons" in the fire.
If theres any questions Kevin says he knows the answer or he can find out.
Nice '84, but I have to ask a really stupid question. Why in the world would anyone change out a Dana 50IFS for a Dana44IFS HD on a 250????? The Dana 50 is much better than the 44 in terms of strength and durability.
Maybe I am wrong, but that just doesn't make sense to me.
Again, welcome, I am sure that you guys will be an asset to FTE.
sorry i didnt word that right im trading my ifs for a straight axle 44hd im only running 33s and its my daily driver but them low gears let me have fun too thanks for welcoming us
Ok. Just thought that was odd. I figured there was a good reason for it. Ought to be an easy swap. I thought you had a heavy duty(8600 or 8800lb GVW) truck when you mentioned swapping. Those have the Dana 50.
ya my ttb causes my front tires to pigen toe bad plus ifs has more moving parts and on the trail sometimes more aint better o it is a heavy duty just dont like ttb
