new engine with less then good performance

hey, i currently had a 351w rebuilt and put in my 92 f-150 efi. i had a rv cam with 204 to 214 duration and .426 lift. new dart heads. it has headman headers. dual 40 series flowmaster exhaust and i just ordered a new k&n generation II air filter system. after all of that i don't seem to have the power that i was told i would have. any suggestions. it just doesn't have the pick up it used to stock

The easiest thing I can suggest would be to double check the timing on the engine. I had this problem on my 90 efi 302.

right now i have my timing set to 10degrees btdc as OEM suggests i have tried 8,10,12,14 degrees and its not making a difference that i can notice in power. only thing i can notice is gas milage difference. any other suggestions would be appriciated. thanx
