Leaking Windshield??

When I painted my truck I cracked the windshield and that was a good thing because it had started rusting and had been leaking and I did not know it. I strip it to the metal and etching primer and painted it. When they came to put the windshield in they wanted to take it to the metal before they installed the windshield in,I told them no and they installed it the way I wanted. These trucks are bad about rusting around the windshield.

Another leak location...
Had water coming down from the front part of the headliner on passenger's side. I had new glass put in, but still had a leak. Some suggested that the body seam in the rain gutter could be at fault. I took mixed some white oil-base pain with boiled linseed oil (better flow than paint, and the linseed oil eventually cures to a flexible solid) and flowed it in the gutter. I was careful to work it into the body seam inside the gutter with a Q-tip. That stopped the leak.
