You need a Diagnostic Scanner like AE or a Snap-On MT2500 and it tells you which injectors are weak or operating less eficently than the others....That way you know which ones need replacing .....

You may also wanna clean up the fuel regulator screen inside the fuel bowl. Drain down the bowl a bit lift out filter. Now with small mirror, flashlite and Q-tips dipped in diesel clean out the small hole (at back of hole is SS screen) about 1/3 way down fuel canister wall on driver's side of fuel bowl. If you've not done this there maybe lots do small bits of black keerap on the screen. Keep cleaning with Q-tips till you can clearly see the stainless steel screen. This might smooth out the idle. What brand of oil you runnin?

You can also remove the screen by unbolting the FPR from the bowl. If you ever remove the fuel filter you should completely drain the bowl, otherwise dirt and other trash will end up on the wrong side of the filter when you put it back in.
