I got a 2004 going down the high way at 50 and up to maybe 70 i get a vibration and it sounds like road noise one ford dealer said it was a front wheel bearing so had it changed still have it. took it to a different shop still cant find any thing so i need help.
yea i thought it was the carrier also and i told the shop where i took it. i only got 189.000 on the truck and the u joints never been changed to thats why i mentioned it to the shop and he said the drive train was good and tight.
I have a similar issue. '06 F250 4x4 SWB CC, all stock. I rotated and balanced the tires but it made no improvement. It's not horrible, but definitely noticeable. I wonder if the tires are cupped (or cupping?). My tires still have about 75% tread life on them. It really smooths out at about 75 mph and up, which could get costly .
I'll be following this thread.
I have the same exact problem. I drive a 06 Extended Cab Short Bed. Crawled under and tugged on the driveshaft and everything seems to be ok still. Rather not splurge $80 on a diagnostic fee for a 'everything looks tight still.'
I'm running practically new BFG Rugged Trail T/As and the PO had a set on there too beforehand. I'm due for a rotation but I doubt it'll fix it. I wonder if its the BFGs?
My stock truck made some weird vibrations when I first bought it. I made some shims to drop the center support bearing down a 1/2. And that stopped them, but I cant remember when I was feeling them. I kniw for sure when I was starting to move in 1st gear.
