3G Alternator

Hello and good morning.

I found a new 3G alternator; 130 AMPS, 1 Wire from Summit Racing; Powermaster part # 77711 that is compatible with:

Mustang GT 94/95 V8 302 CID
Mustang GTS 95 V8 302
Mustang SVT Cobra 94/95 302
Thunderbird LX 94-97 V6 232 CID
Cougar XR-7 94-97 V6 232 CID

Will this work on my 87 5.0L? I have read that I have to modify the existing bracket for the alternator to fit.

Also, where do I purchase a complete wiring harness including a 175 AMP Mega-Fuse?

Please advise.

P.S. Is Powermaster a good brand?

P.S. 2 I found a 130 AMP remanufactured alternator made in the United States for $70 on eBay which is compatible with:

Taurus 3L 94-99
Windstar 3L 95-98
Sable 3L 94-99

It has a 7:00 Plug Clock.

3G is a great mod and JY Tarsus will give you all you need. Lots of threads to talk you thru.

Thanks for the tip i just hope it is not a mud pit so I will wait until Wednesday or Thursday.

If I understand, any wiring going to or coming from the 3G I take; wiring harness, etcetera.
