Mentioned it to my neighbor (a locksmith) and he said the pawl had broken off the back of the cylinder. Thought he had some in his truck, but he can't find any. I took the door panel off and found he was indeed correct:
I can read the part number off the back as C7TB-8121-970-A but an internet search comes up empty. Does anyone know where a suitable replacement can be found? For the time being I JB Welded the stick back on. With luck it will work, but I really am not confident it will. I'd take complete lock cylinders too because I can get them re-keyed for cheap, but would prefer to just replace the pawl on this one.
As a matter of fact I was sitting here trying to remember if I threw away the one I took off my Bump a while ago. It had a bit of a notch wore in to it. I guess it would be better than a broken one. I'll check when I get home.
somebody close to you probably has a used one laying around. I have several but am in Florida. Whenever I junk a truck I tend to keep little things. It's not hard to change the key cylinders from one to another.

Jefffafa, Any used one would be awesome. In fact, a whole key cylinder (or two) would be good because this stuff isn't getting any younger.
I DID take the opportunity today to swap the unbroken (but heavily notched) passenger side cylinder to the driver's side. I filed the rod that extends from the pawl to smooth it prior to installing on driver's side. While I was at it I took out the latch assy and thoroughly cleaned and oiled it. Oiled up the handle button and it put it all back together. Works like new. SO much less resistance on the pawl now. I'll be doing the other (passenger) side as soon as my new regulator shows up. Ran out of time today and have evening plans anyways.

Agreed 60F100. Just need to find some. jefffafa is looking. I really need to find out who owns that old 67 near me.... Lots of useful stuff there for sure.
I will check with him tomorrow.
come to think of it, I swapped my locks out when I first got the truck. I will look in my parts box to see if I still have the old ones.
Didn't find it yet. Have not given up yet though. I have a few more places to look that my girlfreind didn't give me time to. What can a I say, nature called then I forgot. Will find those other two boxes of parts tonight. In there I think I have old lock cylinders also.
