Died, No Start

Getting off freeway the other morning truck dies and wouldnt start up. Got pulled to shop, pulled codes. P0340 CPS, P1212 ICP, P0603 keep alive fail. Found nut off the solonoid to ICP, put on and thought cool, easy fix. still o start. Went to International and got new cps, after much cussing and soaking in PB finally got bolt out and replaced CPS. Smile turned to frown when still no start. Batteries cleaned and test good. What next?

Pull the electrical connector off of the ICP and see if it has oil on it. Also, check for blown fuse under your dash that goes to the fuel bowl heater. If it is blown, unplug electrical connector to fuel bowl and leave it unplugged. Then replace the fuse. Those are two things I would check first.

All fuses were good, there was some oil in icp sensor, wouldn't start when unplugged. Was leaning toward the IPR. Should I clean or replace?

I would change your ICP. With oil in the connection it is a sign that it is bad or on it's way to being bad. With the codes you posted and having oil in the connection I would be leaning there.

Pull the connector off the ICP sensor and see if she starts without the ICP plugged in, with the ICP unplugged the PCM uses the default settings.

Sorry, missed that part you posted.

Have you tried pulling the PCM fuse & resetting it, clear the engine codes to see what comes up after the recent CPS change.

Are you using AE and do you have a way to check fuel pressure?

Are you getting white smoke out of the tail pipe? Mine was not getting any smoke and it turned out the be the IDM. If the Pro link tool can verify the injectors are firing then this is not your problem and could be in your HPO system. Luckily I had another one to try and it fired up.

You might try a PSD cps instead of an IH one. Slight differences between t444 and 7.3 engine in terms of programming.

Have you checked the oil? If you are severely low on oil truck will not run.
