i recently just got a 2004 5.4 with a Roush charger, Whipple inter-cooler upgrade, 4:56's, 3 inch leveling kit, high performance diff cover, bigger fuel pump and injectors, pcm flash and tune and dynoed. just wondering if there is anything i should do to make sure she stays reliable? will only get drove during summer.

sounds like a bad *** truck, any pictures?

My son's '05 was set up that way. The connecting rods didn't like it.

Dont down shift from 4th. Shift it out of overdrive first, then get on it.

thanks! and i will try and get some pics up soon! any help is great not to sure on the 5.4 motor and mods. im a motor guy just heard alot of fishy stuff on the 5.4's.

These are great motors just a few things different from reg motors. The rods are the weak spot though. Thats why when you get on it the strain is tremendous because of the supercharger, it creates a lot of torque. If the Transmission were to shift from fourth/OD to say second or god forbid first, you can ventilate the block in a hurry. Torque is around 450ft/lbs starting @ 1800rpm so it comes on quick and thats what makes these trucks so fun.
