s1600 6.9l
I have a s1600 truck in the shop it is a 85 year model. it has the old style gp controller system with new bullet style gp's. And it came from the factory that way. I called my local IH dealer and had them check and it is correct. I'm wondering on the controller screwed in the block what should I have either going in or coming out on the 6 pins. The glow plug light stays on all the time with the key on, and with the controller plugged or unplugged. I'm thinking that there may be elec. problems behind the dash.

That is interesting, our s-series 6.9, 83, has the bullet style plugs as well, i just thought someone put the wrong plugs in. One thing i have heard, is that style controller likes to stick in the ON position... that could be your issue.
