ordered tuner and pipe

Finally was able to order a tuner and pipe for my 09 F350. I went with the SCT because of cost and what I really felt I needed. Not doing the tuner to run hot tunes or anything just wanted to get rid of the stupid DPF and maybe get a little better gas mileage. Any tips on Install would be appreciated.
Thanks

The tuner is self explanitory, just plug into pcm and answer the questionss.

Are you just deleting dpf, or replacing exhaust? And if so, turbo back or cat back?

Let us know how you like it

Oh you'll be getting some hot tunes. Lol. Matt @ gearhead is pretty good. And remember the hotter the tune the better the milage IF you can keep your foot out of it.

Figured the tuner would be pretty straight forward was more concerned with the dpf delete pipe. Also can you just disable EGR with tuner or do you have to physically disable it?

Wish I could help ya there... it shouldn't be too bad though. When I deleted my dpf I just straightpiped the whole thing.

If I just disable will it still open and close during idle? Read that somewhere on here.

If you disable it, its just that disabled. Will not open. It will stay closed unless your boost gets up to like 55 or 60 lbs and under pressure will open it some.

Great, that's good to know. Looks like tuner will be here tomorrow as seller promised. The delete pipe on the other hand wont be here when it was supposed to be. But gotta live with it. Will update as I install.
Thanks for the info.
