broken plugs was a regular thing on the 5.4 from 04-05. They developed a tool to remove the part stuck in the hole and it is available from NAPA. No picture so I dont know what is broken on yours, but look on your search engine for 5.4 and broken spark plugs or something, like that and see if it applies. The plugs in the 5.4 have a long nose extension that got stuck in hole due to carbon etc. There is a tech to remove utilizing a slight turn and carb cleaner to soak thru.
Ok, the tool will not help, but what you can try is to soak the remains with some sort of penetrant for a long while and then try to get an eazyout in there. More than likely ou will end up pulling the head and hope a machine shop can do something or just replacing the head is my best guess. How many miles/years since they were pulled last?
I've had this happen occasionally at work while changing plugs. I carefully heat it with a torch, then tap an easy out in while its still hot and they'll usually come right out. Never had it happen on a 2.5 so I'm not sure how much room you have to work, but I've removed lots of them from V6 and V8 engines over the years without pulling the heads. The first one might be more of a bugger though if part of the porcelain is still stuck in the hole.

I took the time and looked it up. I dawned on me that I have something to repair this. I have an easy out bit for the spark plug that has the thread stuck up in there. So what I actually did was with a fine drill bit I was able to slowly chip away at the porcelain stuck in the head and pull all of the pieces way with long reach pliers and a bit of suction. As for the threads for the Spark plug. I shall remove them tomorrow. It has been a bit chilly today.
I managed to get the easy out screw in but can't screw it out. I sprayed some PB blaster and called it a night.
It's been pretty beat up since I bought it about year ago. I have been stationed in 3 different places since then and now I'm finally at a permanent place so it's hard to tell when the spark plugs where last replaced. But for the price I paid, I don't mind putting in the extra work to keep her running. She is my to/from work car (about 2 miles). My other car is what gets me around town.
