Question Shocks?

I'm thinking about upgrading my shocks and struts on my 09 Lariat 4X4. Are there any good products out there to improve the ride and handling over stock?

Tia,
MJ

I put Bilstein HD's on my 11 XLT 4x4 and I really liked them.

KYB, Monroe, Bilstein, Rancho would all be suitable options for you. KYB and Monroe are very similar to OEM ride and quality with a slightly more refined ride. Bilstein and Rancho will tighten up the ride some, call it "firm" if you will.

The Ranchos seem to be overblown. I've been happy with the Bilsteins.

I cannot argue this at all, as they are a popular choice.

I believe that ProComp now offers a reasonably priced option for our trucks too. You could always spend some serious coin and look into Icon and/or King.

Another +1 on Bilstein's. You'll notice a huge difference over stock.

If you're looking for more of a stock ride, we carry the Monroe shocks.

I have the 5100's on my Truck with P265/70r17 A/T tires and love the ride. Can't say its that much better than my dad's '11 Scab EB with 275/xxR18 stock rubber and shocks. Not quiet identical but I would have to drive them back to back to really notice.

Anybody know if there is much weight, or weight distribution, difference between the Coyote and EB power trains?

Tia,
MJ
We offer a bunch of options for this year truck.
We also offer a "loaded" strut that levels the front as well.
One our RS7000 monotube and RS9000XL adjustable, check out our guarantee.
If you want a "firm" ride look to a monotube style shock.
A "softer" ride a twin tube style.

Performance Guarantee and 90-Day Risk-Free Ride Offer
We challenge you to try our Rancho® RS9000XL™ Shock Absorbers or our Rancho® RS7000MT™ Monotube Shock Absorbers risk-free for 90 days - if these products* don't meet the challenge, call us for your money back.

Or... Get bilstein and not have to worry about returning if you're not satisfied or have to worry about spam.

What's spam here? He asked for suggestions on shocks. As a sponsor I offered advice, I didn't say, "Buy ours." . I would love to see more shock companies offer the same 90 day guarantee as ours, that is how much we believe in our products. Remember not all people like a monotube style shock.....

Rancho's 9k's are a great option... if your looking to go a lil more hardcore then i would go with a Icon coilover setup for the front...

i've use rancho shocks. harsh ride and don't last long.

having tried most of the shocks available for several vehicles, i go bilstein because the ride is best - no dog in the fight.
