Leveling the front end to match the rear end

I would like to lift the front end of my truck (89 F150 4X4 long bed). I have an extra leaf spring in the back and I am getting ready to replace the rear shackle brackets. What kind of things do I need to be concerned about and what is the easiest way to do this? I think I need to lift the front end about 3 inches. Everything on the front is stock 4X4.

Just curious...

You can either get a 2" or 4" suspension lift, they don't make a 3".
