Not precisely a towing question

I want to put a receiver hitch on the back of the 5er. Not so much to tow, although that is a possibility, but mostly to have a place to mount a platform to haul a motorized wheel with us.

Has anyone added a receiver to their 5er? If so, what brand or model. Thanks!

you will need to measure the width and then find a receiver to mount. Most just go to a welding shop and tell them what they want.

Just be comfortable that the trailer frame is strong enough for that kind of static load vs a towed load.

The old 5er had a 2" square tube bolted to the rear bumper with U-bolts. Previous owner used it for a bike rack.
