Actualy guys and gals, go look up the crash test results - these smart cars do fairly well. Size is not the only saving grace in a crash.
Now if they only had a decent automatic , and not that crappy automated manual I would look seriously at buying one.
I did have one on a extended test drive, somewhat noisy, but quite comfortable in town and on the freeway. Hated the transmission though!
