I hope you guys can get a meet together. I make no promises as to whether I can make one.
It feels like Friday. I went to Paducah yesterday, then to Seymour, In last night. 670 miles yesterday, and replaced 2 spindles. Got home at 1:30 this morning. I was on the road by 5:00am yesterday. Good thing I don't have to keep a log book,,,,,,,,

My understandings with Commercial Vehicles, is that you have to keep a AM/PM log book, and have it up to date.
Anyways...
Looks like the weather will be a tad chilly Tuesday/Wednesday with a high of 9*...
You are right Wes. I am suppose to keep a log book.
But how do you log in 21 hours straight on the road legally? What I am allowed to do legally is work 14 hours a day. Apparently for me the clock starts when I start my truck, and stops when I shut it off at the end of the day. Time spent working does not count as down time from driving.

Long as everyone is safe and money is made, a log book is neglible.
So how has the ice been treating you all? My truck has been handling it just fine as long as I can get my 4x4 to engage. The vacuum doesn't like this cold. I on the other hand haven't handled it well at all. UK is being terrible and not cancelling or even delaying classes even when it is in the negatives. I can't feel my legs or ears after walking from my dorm to my classes. I'm pretty sure that most students have experienced mild frostbite at this point. Not to mention on Tuesday morning I watched a Toyota Camry almost slide into a couple students at the Rose Street crossing. EKU is nice enough to cancel classes. Rant Over, new topic:
Rented a gun at Buds for the first time the other day. Couldn't get a handgun, but still had fun. My laziness has made me REALLY like having my target come to me. Too bad it doesn't do that out on the farm...
I went to EKU for six years, they only cancelled classes twice. But then, I only know of UK cancelling twice. Ever.
The deuce and a half won't start. It barely cranks at all. The 5-ton, forget about it. It won't even crank.
My Jeep Liberty and the E350 can crank a little slow, but they're handling it alright.
The Dodge pickup, on the other hand..... the dash WAS cracked, and now it's in about 10-12 pieces. Seriously, all I did was close the door a little hard and the dash shattered. Oh, well. It's a Dodge.
(I know, technically the Jeep is a Chrysler. Leave me alone.)
Tried to start one of our tractors today. It normally takes a little starter fluid when cold due to low compression, but it just wouldn't take the diesel fuel. Too thick I'm assuming. It has a block heater, but I have never used it and don't know if it works. The electricity in the barn isn't functioning either. Going to have to fix the electricity just to find out if the heater on the tractor works...

Now owned by Fiat!!!!
The last cold spell, my 99 started right up in 0 degree weather, but it smoked like a you-know-what! I'm keeping it, and the 02 plugged in right now. The 08 is still not running. Guys, nothing smokes, or smells, like a 7.3 psd on a cold morning especially if the block heater was not used!

So far, my little truck is starting fine. Already got ~1" of snowfall here in Foraker.
Snowplow has ran once already, and my road is already covered again.
We have only been running the Trailblazer the past few days with the weather being the way it is. Our apartment complex has not been plowing the parking lot that well. The TB has started every time with no complaints. I have been starting the HHR at least once a day and letting it run to allow the battery to keep charged and fluids not be frozen. The HHR has kinda complained when I start it... lol it is a chevy so complaining is expected. I will have to say I love the TB for a number of reasons but it SUCKS for gas mileage! Of course most all SUV's do, 4x4 or not.
Hey Ryan, nice to hear from you! I'd say we got about 4 more inches of snow last night/this morning. It has stopped for now. Suppose to get a little more tomorrow though. Next week is looking like it may be the coldest yet that we've seen this year so far.
