I have had this same code and problem a month ago. I ended up having turbo cleaned , back pressue sensor replaced and finally fixed problem with new EGR valve. And now a month later same exact problem could it be a fauilty egr i got or is there something else i need to look at

It is possible you got a bad one. But you need to see if you egr cooler is leaking. Park it downhill over night, pull the egr valve and see if there is any moisture in the cooler. Are you losing ANY coolant?
it only blows white smoke when i am heating truck up the rest of the time it doesnt and yes i can read eot and ect
earlyier my trucks eot was reading 203
Sounds like you need to replace your EGR cooler. Don't be like me and wait 'til the last minute.
Do you have any sort of tuner/monitor? A lot of guys on here use the Scangauge II, or you can get a Bluetooth adapter for your OBD plug and get an app on your phone. If your EOT is 15* higher than ECT, your oil cooler is getting restricted and probably caused the EGR cooler to fail. That means you would need to replace the oil cooler too.
BTW those temps have to be measured on flat land after your engine has come up to operating temp. However, if you are getting white smoke already you may not want to chance it. Yes, some white smoke while warming in the morning can be normal, but consider this. Say you drove your truck and got the coolant system hot and pressurized (up to around 15psi). You park your truck for the night, and as it cools the pressure gradually falls. During the time your coolant system is under pressure, coolant leaks into your intake, EGR cooler, or the exhaust manifold. When you start your truck in the morning, some of the coolant goes into the cylinders, but some of it stays. As everything gets hot that remaining coolant turns to steam and shows as white smoke out the tailpipe. Are you sure the white smoke is just from your truck warming up?
yes in the moringi and may be once in a blue moon in the teens at idle in park
my eot reads like 203 isnt eot your engine oil temp
and yes i have a scan guage 2
do you have any idea what egr cooler cost to replace

Are you going to do the work yourself? Yes eot is engine oil temp. Need to measure both eot and ect and see if there is over 15 degrees difference at normal driving on flat ground. Like I mentioned before park it downhill, steeper the better over night. Pull the egr valve and check if there is moisture in the cooler or on the valve.
You are losing coolant though? 203 EOT seems high to me for it only being in the teens. Need to compare them. fWt is already programmed in your SGII so just put them side by side and take a drive.
Just replaced my EGR cooler. Depends on what you are trying to achieve. I bought a bulletproof style cooler, oil cooler, and all the gaskets for $265 from a new company running a special last month. They are called Stab Motorsports. Spoke with them before my purchase and I was happy the level of customer service. Oh did I mention lifetime warranty too.
Are you wanting to delete, go bulletproof, or just replace? Also will you do the work yourself or take it somewhere? It really isn't that bad of a job just takes time.
A full delete would eliminate both. But it is suggested to leave your egr valve in place and plugged in because of it influence on the radiator fan. You need to replace the oil cooler as well when or if you do the egr delete.
If you delete, you won't have to worry about a failure hydrolocking your engine. Yes it will completely get rid of the EGR cooler and not allow exhaust into your intake and engine. You will need a tuner though because your truck will throw a CEL for insufficient EGR flow.
