Around here the bumper pulls are more expensive because every John Doe has a pickup, but almost none have 5th wheel hitches. Thus the 5er's are harder to sell and cheaper.

I will most certainly do that, Darin. I didn't wake up this morning with buyers regret so that was good. lol.

Thanks, Nate! Yeah I think there is a lot of potential. I can't wait to get it and at least get it road worthy. Then down the line I'd like to do some things, modernize it a little.

Good luck, and hope be ready for RRE.

Thanks, Jose, and believe me, it will get a thorough once over, bearings packed, at least 2 tires and I'm crossing my fingers that the electric brakes are good to go. I've never dealt with electric brakes before, actually this is quite a jump for me, theres alot of things I've never dealt with before.

Yeah I've noticed that around here, I don't want Tom mad at me...

But as for dinner perhaps we can plan something for back at the campgrounds?
Anyone want to get a potluck dealio going for Saturday evening at the campgrounds?!
I understand we already will be part of a potluck the other night...but still.

I just recently finished my UDS (Ugly Drum Smoker or Upright Drum Smoker) and ran my first set of Pork Shoulders through it this past weekend.
I believe Doug is planning on making one as well and Todd has experience in BBQ.
Im all 'hopped up on the Q' and would love to do BBQ Saturday.

I think thats a great idea! I'd be down to help chip in on some meat or something like that.

I guess the only thing better about a 5er, is they make the truck ride a little better from what I understand. But yeah I don't think its a biggy one way or the other. Just as long as you have something!

Yeah its just the opposite here, everyone and their brother has a 5th wheel or goose neck. I didn't actually want this big of a camper but it was too good to refuse, I was hoping to find a smaller 5er, but that's almost impossible around here.

Geeeez! It's less than a month until RRE and I haven't gotten anything done to my truck other than 6 new tires. Can't do anything at all right now cause at 5:30 this morning before I went to work, my dumb a$$ ran a 20 penny nail right through the center of my palm almost all the way through my hand. My hand is so sore now it hurts to straighten my fingers out. I wrapped it up and went to work, but damn if it don't hurt! When this heals up some I've GOT to buckle down and get some stuff done to my truck!!!

OUCH! That's a big enough nail! I'm not sure I want to know how you did that at 5:30am. You're almost as hard on yourself as I am on myself! BTW Bill, what did you end up getting for tires on your truck?

When I bought the truck it had four Uniroyal Laredo HD/T on the back and two cheap china tires on the front. I liked the ones on the rear so I had the guy from the tire place where we get tires for the mine equipment at work get me a price on them. He really hooked my up, so I bought two for the front a couple weeks ago. I didn't realize how much tread they had on them until I saw the new ones, then the rear ones looked bad, so I got four more today. I'm staying with the 235/85-16 10 ply. I really like the tires. They are a heavy duty commercial tire and I like the tread pattern. The guy came to my work, picked up my wheels and tires and is having them mounted and balanced for free, and dropping them back off to me in the morning! They even put CounterAct in them instead of wheel weights! Can't beat that!

Sounds real good Bill! I noticed mine were worn worse after I bought the two new fronts. Didn't think they were that bad, but they are 30-40% is all. They will work for now, but like you said, didn't look that bad until you get some new ones beside them.

Yep! LOL! I thought it would be nice to have 6 new tires for the trip too RRE. I really didn't have the money to buy for more but the guy from the tire place said "Don't worry about it. I'll write it up on a hand ticket and you pay me what you can when you can." I said alrighty then! LOL! We do a lot of business with them through work, and getting ready to give them a lot more, so he is taking care of me

You did WHAT to your hand? What Glenn said and glad you got a hook up on the tires. That's how it should be done when you help another out! You'll get the truck done. I have faith in you. I am just glad the nail didn't do any major damage.

Good lord Bill. When was the last time you got a tetanus shot? Might be a good idea to get one.

As far as food goes let me know. I eat. A lot. My wife is also pregnant, soooooo. I hate planning though.
