x2 on the bummer Travis! By the time you make it to RRE I'll have one foot in the grave! Oh, I forgot, I already do, LOL
Big talk from a guy who actually hasn't made one yet, haha
I'm quoting myself here after re reading it. The Big Talk, I was referring to myself! LOL
Alex, this is the email I got from Strictly Diesel. I feel he should have just sent me another one, that wiring harness isn't cheap in the first place.
I’m already on the hunt for a better pressure switch, unfortunately they all seem to be “made in china”. I’ve got my “industrial” guys working on finding me something that’s higher quality, but I’m afraid that if they have something it will be so much more expensive that nobody will want to go that route.
That switch is fairly common, if you need to replace it, any “cross reference” for a Carquest ECC 53-33507 will get you a replacement. I’m betting you can find one pretty easily at any good auto parts store.
Travis, too bad you can't make it. I'm still unsure whether I will be able to or not. If my wife doesn't get over this morning sickness, I doubt I'll be coming either.
Glenn, that sucks that the Strictly Diesel e-fuel harness is giving you trouble. I haven't installed mine yet, and I'm already thinking that I need to carry spare parts with me and probably wire in an bypass in case all goes heck. What a bummer, I was hoping this system would be reliable.

You might think it's a pain, but it really probably is easier for you and for Dennis to just get one from the parts store. It's going to be the same part. That's what I did when mine failed. I got the part number from Dieselsite for mine and went to NAPA and got a new one. FYI, the NAPA part number for your switch is ECH OP6616

I found a O'Reilly's and they matched up the CARQUEST number, $10 bucks.
Well i told myself i was just gonna do a couple things to my truck befor the big trip and i am one step closer. I got the old carpet out and the rubber matt flooring in. Took the time and put down some sound barrier too. I used peel and seal from lowes. Cheaper than the other stuff and it worked real good. And also the big thing is i take it in june 2 to get a paint job! Ok not the whole thing just the hood and also installing two new front fenders. Pretty excited bout that! Now if only i can get a new radio and speakers installed i will be happy. You guys getting any last min projects in?
I was gonna put some of that peel n seal in my El Camino. I had to order it and the store effed it up somehow so I said screw it, I don't guess I need it lol. Hot rod guys swear by it, and who can blame em, it's dirt cheap compared to Dyna Mat

Getting paint huh? Nice! That will be one more truck that looks better than mine at RRE, lol.
I've got a long list of things to do to mine before RRE, but most of them likely won't get done due to the constraints of time and money. The two things that I do intend to get done (in addition to some cleaning) are to get the front axle seals replaced and then flush and fill both axles. The good news is that the shop is empty now so I can get the truck in there and get started. The first weekend camping trip of the 2014 season is this coming weekend, so I gotta get my butt in gear and get this done!
Ball joints for me - really don't want to ride all the way over with that vibration if I can avoid it. Also, a buddy of mine gave me a hood scoop from a 69(?) Mustang 351. It needs a little fiberglass work, but I think it is going to look sweet once I get it on. Might cut the hood a bit and use it to direct some fresh air onto the turbo - idk.
^^^ Thatll look pretty sweet! Im wanting to put a cowl induction on mine. Id build it myself but I have pretty well zero body experience lol
Only thing I need done to mine is some tires. Theyre not showing wires... yet, but im to the point Im afraid of wet grass lol. I doubt Ill have $500+ saved up before RRE so Im just going to steal the tires off of the dually. Theyre pretty well brand new, so might as well use em! A hair smaller than stock @ 215/85 compared to 235/85 but they'll work! It could use a front end alignment but it prolly wont get done either.
