I could do that. I-75 route wouldn't make the trip too much longer than I-69.
Alex, Would you be taking I-65 to through Indy?
Well last time I went down to stay at Aaron's in Evansville so I took quite a few diff roads including 64E and 69S.
Not entirely sure what the plan would be.
I googled it directly from rockton to Newport and yes it lists I65 for quite a while.
I usually take 39 to 74 and then get on 65, you can't pay me enough to drive through Chicago at any hour. Lol you aren't too far from the Indy/Kentucky border are you Aaron?
Im up for whenever and where ever. I have the whole week off. I wonder if Bill will let us meet up with the southern convoy and roll in to the camp ground together.....
Sure! If we can time it right, that would be great!

Now that sounds like a plan to me! You guys will LOVE driving in these mountains!
Copied and pasted the following from the campground website. Says "SHOOT HOOPS" Guess they at least have some kind of court...........Spend a day or a week deep in the heart of the Appalachian chain of mountains, home of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, the crown jewel of the eastern U.S. park system. Swim in KOA's sparkling pool, shoot hoops, or enjoy a walk around the park.
Laze around in the heated and air-conditioned one- and two-room Kamping Kabins or park your RV on large, shady sites. Tents can be found on a lovely shaded knoll. Play each day in Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, Dollywood theme park, the Forbidden Caverns and Cherokee National Forest, only minutes away.
Boat on the TVA lakes, French Broad River, and Pigeon River, where you can see the mountains from the water. Bring your boats and Jet Skis. There's no lack of attractions close to this KOA!nd a day or a week deep in the heart of the Appalachian chain of mountains, home of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, the crown jewel of the eastern U.S. park system. According to my Google Maps, after a quick stop in Evansville its got us going down the ol Pennyrile. I think thatd be the best bet. That's how my family from Tennessee comes up for family reunions.
Not looking forward to Mt. Eagle with the 5th wheel...
And fair warning, my biggest problem is fuel mileage. I wont wanna go much over the speed limit to conserve fuel lol
Well that makes me feel better! I actually Googled it after I posted that and realized its a bit further south than were going, which is quite ok with me!
And spelling correction: Monteagle, not Mt. Eagle. Never actually knew how it was said/spelled as I just heard family say it repeatedly lol
I remember there being a basketball court. WE all were standing on it when they took the picture of all the obs's lined up. But it was pretty shabby iirc. Of course, so is my game! lol
Is anyone else coming from the south? I could drive up to where I77 and I81 meet in Wytheville if Bill's group is going through there. It would add a little, but no big deal.
I am near Charleston, WV. From here, it is only 40 minutes longer to go west 64 to Lexington then 75 South. Would probably add 2 1/2 hours for Bill though.
