head gasket leaking??

okay guys heres my question. i just got done rebuilding my 82 302 in my f-150. i had started the engine already on a couple of occasions but never long enough for it to get warm at all. i was putting anti freeze in it and noticed that it was leaking out at the back of the engine somewhere and between the head and the block on the passenger side front of the motor. i started the engine anyway and she ran perfect, also this time i ran her long enough to get up to about 160 degrees(coolant temp) i then shut her off and rechecked my coolant levels, they were down a bit as some had leaked out but not empty. also the leaking fluid has stopped and it now has no leaks at all. this is my third engine rebuild and i have never encountered this before. IS THIS NORMAL??? i followed all the instructions properly on tightening the head bolts and the surface of the heads and block deck were flat. it doesnt seem to be a problem but i just would feel better if i heard from someone who has experienced this before!

head gasket leaking??

Starting it a few times can be hard on the cam in a new rebuild. Unless its a hydraulic roller engine normal procedure is to fire it the first time and run it for 20-30 minutes at 1500-2000rpm for cam break-in.

Any sign of A/F in the oil?
