Fishing question.

Greywolf, You ever decide to go in after them. Take some pictures and send them to me. My catfishing brothers need a good laugh.

Fishing question.

You guys ever heard of noodeling? Its where you go in this creek or river and find a hole that might have a 20 lb catfish in it, and crawl in. I saw it on GPTV(georgia public TV) and they do it all over the place. The guys doing the documentery realized that there had never been a tournament, so they held one. I don't know about you guys, but it takes some kahunas to go crawling in a hole underwater.

I prefer a 6ft rod, medium-light action, an openface reel, preferably a shakespeare, and some spiderwire with a nightcrawler on it. My grandparents have a nice sized pond with some very elusive catfish.

Fishing question.

My pickup plates read 4 fishin, fish when ever I can..Trout is the fish of choice but am open to anything that wants to impale itself on the hook..Perfer to walk the rivers and streams alone, very relaxing until you are startled by a moose..Better then a bear I guess..LOL..But do enjoy it when my boys want to come along..Use from ulta light to med. action rods, open face reels with no more then 6# test..Fav. lure is the Thompson Fighting Fish in gold..

Fishing question.

When I was young, we use to noodle off the spillway on Melvern Lake outside Emporia Kansas. I thought it was the greasest thing until I saw an old guy bull a 30# Blue out. Damn thing almost dragged him away. Never again I tell you. That and I was always afraid of a snapper getting my hand.

Fishing question.

I think I would rather encounter a bear, less likely to attack you and bears *generally* won't follow you into the water.

Fishing question.

I have a boat for every kind of Fishing we do, 5 total from 13ft, up to 40ft. I also have a 21 ft. Party Barge. Some people think we have a boat business sometimes. I have plenty of places to park things, we have a Ranch in Texas. Crappie fishing is my favorite. (One of the Best eating.)

I have a 6ft, green light submersible and some smaller ones for Night fishing in a boat. Green lights immolates daylight. Meaning the fish think the sun is coming up! But its 12:00 mid.night. Talk about a bait fish magnet! Beat time to fish is anytime you can go! But according to the Pros. fish when the Barometric pressure is 2millabars above 30 or 2millabars below30...... I have proven this works. Try to fish ahead of the fronts but be careful sometimes the weather can change in a heart beat for the worst.

I use a VHF radio for weather updates. As well as to locate friend on the Lake. They can even be used in an emergency on Ch. 16. Coast Guard Auxiliary radio watch is on most of your Lakes. If U dont have a VHF radio maybe pick up one and give it a try. Striper Fishing on Lake Texhoma is my second favorite live bait 20 pounds is my record fish there are some bigger.

I have downriggers to get down deep and planner board to get out wide. (Trolling more lines.)

Deep sea fishing any were is a must do anytime! Take your Dramamine and dont eat a lot for breakfast nothing is better if your not sure, if you must eat 1 cracker its not that long till Lunch, and for no reason go below deck unless you just need to and hurry back up! Set in the back or middle of your vessal. Watch the harisezon but dont dwell on getting SICK, STAY BUSY if you can. Dont go if they are predicting 10 ft. seas. On your first trip. Calm seas are to hot in the summer. 3ft.to 4ft. ok seas you will have a good trip!

Winter is always rough it seams. I have been out in ten foot seas and Capt. turned around after we started losing ice chests over board! Thats the only trip I have been on that turned around! Some people get sea sick and some dont as much. If you get sick. You wont fell like eating. After about 4hours you will fell better. "YOUR NOT GOING TO DIE!" keep fishing!

I know Capt.s that have been sick before very rare but it happens. The best kind of sea sick med. is the little bottles that are liquid that you rub behind your ears. Your middle ear is what is telling you (better quit rocking and rolling!) Good Luck, I hope this helps not detours anyone from going 50+ miles out to sea. For a chance of a lifetime catch! Grouper, RedSnapper,Vermilion Snapper, Derodo-Dolphin, Sailfish, Trigger fish, Sharks are really good to eat to. (White meat) Many more fish! Find a Charter near you! David

Fishing question.

I always carry a can of pepper spray and my S&W 629 DX .44 Magnum. Moose are more dangerous because people expect them to be slow and docile. I love to fish at Rock Creek. What part of montana are you in?
