Which rods

I've decided that ill do rods on my build since in going for 600+ hp
My question is which ones?
I'm look at these or the hypermax ones.
Carrillo Ford 7.3L Powerstroke Rods - Creatures of the Night Performance - Diesel & Gas Performance Parts
I'm open to other choices

Aren't our forged rods good for 600 hp?

Subscribing.

I'll be upgrading sticks and stuff, going for only ~400 hp, but have heard both that rods are and are not a required upgrade in this range.

5-550 is the max on stock rods from what I've read. I'm sure they would hold 600+ but for how long I'm not sure.

I doubt it. I had the engine ready to go back in but my x mas bonus was so nice that I figured ill do rods. As of today my engine is a empty block. After I get the rods the bottom end and heads will go out to be balanced and blueprinted. I sure its overkill but I want it to be as reliable as a stock engine.

You sur are correct. That engine is out of a 01 that had 178k on it. I paid 300 for a used long block. Im debating if the obs engine that has 53k on will go up for sale to help with the build or to keep it.
