Hey guys. I got a 2002 f250 v10. Has about 140000 miles. I started to get an odd noise out of my right front the other day. It sounds like the little warning noise the brakes make when they are wore out but I still have plenty of life left in them. It also only starts at around 2500 rpm and up. Any thoughts?

 

Does it seem to be rpm related? like does it do the same in 3rd or 2nd at the same rpm? or speed related.

 

it is engine speed related. It does it between that rpm range in every gear. Its a Manuel truck

 

Time for a belt? And check the idler and tension pulleys too.

 

Just replaced the belt. Thought it may be alternator pulley but someone mentioned vacuum leak to me as well

 

Nothing else anybody?

 

Mine has a similar issue but only when it's close to redline.
