I have a 96 f150 with the 300 that has one of those air injection pipes that run along the top of the head and screw in to each cylinder. My question is what is the size/ thread specs for those ports? I want to get a tap to clean them up because I'm having trouble getting two of them to seal, which is causing a vacuum leak and it's throwing codes.
This thread on another site will help you and give good reading as well..
It seems that the general consensus is 9/16x18 or "fine thread. VERY close to a 14mm spark plug. I have a head off and in my shop. I don't have a fine 9/16" tap to verify..Something I should get I suppose, I like to use these heads...and I have not been able to get those fittings off w/o "help" in the past..chasing threads would certainly be good for the NEXT time you have to get it off...
