where can you get a set of projector housings to "hack" into factory lights? I miss the 2012 Flex Projector HID's that were OEM. Amazing light output and it was easy to drive with.
I'm going to pick up a Kensun 55w HID setup, but don't want to blind oncoming traffic.
If you are buying projectors, get a set of Acura tl projectors. I said it before, they are the best. Remember, the higher the truck is, the less effective the lights seem to be. My headlights are 49 1/2" from the center of the projector to the ground. My flex is 31 3/4" from the ground to the center of the projector. That's where most of the effectiveness is lost on my X. Now my fog lights are 30 1/2" from the projector to the ground. AND, I have 55 watt hid's in my fogs. That's why my fogs are soooo much more effective.
Just make sure you get the 3"lens. Also, I made my own harness and I had to put a diode jumper between the high and low. Because when you switch from low to high beam, the power for the low beam will go out and the shield will pivot but the bulb will go out. With real bi xenon hid's, the bulb is always on and just the shield moves for high beam.

if they are aimed correctly they wont blind anyone, I've been running plug and play kits since 2004 and spent alot of time on my dead end road aiming them so i get the most usable light and don't blind oncoming traffic. 3 years now with this excursion and i cant remember the last time i was high beamed.
i'm not a huge projector fan due to the sharp cut-off which is great in a flat area. but in a very hilly/mountainous area it can be very annoying and leave very dark areas.
this is with my current 35W 6000K bi-xenon kit on low beam. i've had 55w before and noticed no real difference but went through bulbs like crazy so i went back to 35w.
You and Racer are spot on. The cheapo kits just scatter light all over the place. I can spot them instantly. TRS are the guys to deal with. They know their stuff and stand behind their products. I'm no expert but have done half dozen retro's never been flashed once for blinding oncoming traffic.
