could be as simple as a clogged fuel filter but since it came on right after installation i figured id see if anyone would know. i am using the airtex pump mounted on top of passenger fenderwell underhood, is this to much of a lift for the pump? the pump is rated for a max of 9 psi i believe
I found a wire under the hood (driver side) that had a plug on it. Not sure what it was used for and probably an option my truck does not have. Anyway it provided 12v with the key in both the run and start positions so I cut the plug off and I wired in a 15amp fuse. I have a Holley Red pump. Works good but does make a little noise. It has been installed for 3 or 4 years now with no problems.

I was thinking maybe if he tapped into something the filter sensor is tapped into it might be creating a problem, causing his light to come on.
i tapped into light green/red wire that goes to fuel filter housing. after a long test drive i think their is more problems than just a fuel filter light. when idling it wants to die which tells me its not getting enough fuel, is this because of the location i mounted the pump in?
