I wouldn't go as far as an F code Lever and a R code servo cause my truck will only see street use... But... Will mild street truck benefit from a mid/high performance C6 as opposed to a regular rebuild?
x2 on stock rebuild ........i was not at all impressed by the kevlars we put in a buddies race truck yes they worked great but they didn't even last a full season, most mud racers around here are +600 hp and about 90% of those guys run a stock rebuild with a shift kit and that's all they need
This is just a small point, but the factory (or factory replacement) modulator should already be adjustable, so if THAT is a selling point, you already got it covered.
Have you considered doing a roller conversion on it? I was reading a lot of good in doing that when I was considering keeping my Cruise-O-Matic, but that's going to be leaving me soon so I stopped paying attention.
Maybe those conversions went the way of wristed radius arms...
if it is a stock engine, there is nothing wrong with a stock rebuild and a good valve body kit. If you want to go the whole deal, drums that hold more clutches, roller bearings etc, that is fine too.
I don't think if go as far as a E40D sun shell and drum, but roller bearings I might consider.

Man that's crazy. You sure they're running 600hp mudders?
Most of the forums I've read only attribute the stock C6 to holding 450 or less. Shift kit would certainly help, but I'd think that mudders would be running a massive massive tranny cooler if they had a 600hp motor and a stock C6.

I've heard that the Kevlar band burns up fast... But it's hard for me to choke that down because it's got Kevlar particles in the band.
But then again... There have been a lot of articles claiming that these Kevlar bands heat up worse than stock bands and fail very quickly.
One thing that really bothers me is that all of these shift kits and high performance kits is the fact that there are no horsepower ratings whatsoever...
You'd think that these kits would be tested for performance after installation to help determine what exactly it is you're getting out of your investment and how much your tranny is improved. All I see online are people saying performance stuff is good for race applications... No numbers posted by any transmission shops or others...
no e40d parts required. I was just talking about a 5 element drum, or having yours machined to hold 5. Really not a big deal.
I also like the #9 roller and having the long splined reverse hub.
I've used the 500hp kit from Broader Performance and it makes a REALLY nice transmission. Plus the book has some helpful tips.
guarantee it..... Jimmy Hadley's 1st mud truck and his current one if you can watch this that is https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v...type=2&theater first one is 750 hp and second is 972 without nitrous both use stock trans rebuilds plus a shift kit
