and I still feel that the author of this thread does not warrant removal, in fact, without his amazing insight into matters complex and controversial, many of us would remain more confused than we normally are.

I disagree with 97 a lot, but he has every right to state his opinion. I appreciate the fact that he can make a point without using the word "Liberal" in every other sentence and I have no doubt that his opinions (albeit often wrong) are considered and true to his beliefs. Besides, he can't be all bad - he does own a Ranger.

I've eat beaver, 'possum, and grennel. Worked in almost every state in the continental USA. Slugged beers with whites, blacks, reds, yellows, browns, mixed. Lived off the "Fat of the Land" a time or two. Washed in a pond and dried off on a pine limb. Been shot at and missed, but ***** at and hit. Been knocked down, dragged out and locked up with the worse of 'em. Looking back everybody I've met in my life has enriched it - made me what I am today - a God-fearin' free-born American with a mountain of bills and - by God - proud of it. Can't say that it would change a thing if everybody thought like I did, but I do know that I would hate to go outside if they did. My vote is NO.

I would like to explain myself.
I never meant to offend anyone. I was just commenting on how many disscussions/debates on the forum seem to get carried away, and I was hoping that our love of Fords could prevent that from happening. And then I go and get carried away myself.
