Did you guys get the word that the big court upheld affirmative action.

If you're talking about the college thing, I thought it was a split decision, but one that "kinda" directed the colleges in a direction they wanted them to go.
If this "is" what you're talking about, we need to take it to the thread that's already been started on that subject.
Right now we're all trying to do away with one of those good ole extreme right winged southern boys...

First of all...we can't vote 1997RangerXLT out...there are only a handful of people that have any sense left and we need to hang on to them like gold around here.
Second...what's with this "racism" stuff? For every 100 "white" people in the U.S., there are 2 "black" people...and yet they want EQUAL representation? I don't claim to be a mathematician, but how exactly does that work? It's not our fault that a HUGE majority of people in this country are one race and therefore run the show most of the time. Anyone who doesn't like it is free to leave...we aren't holding them here.
I'm sorry...I'm just tired of all these liberals who have no foundation for anything. They just float in the breeze...whatever is popular and might get them votes...that's what they'll believe in at the moment. You can call 1997RangerXLT "old fashioned" if you want...but at least he knows the clear-cut difference between things that are right and things that are wrong.

I took a political party measuring test in high-school government class and the test said that I was politcally more conservitave than I think it was Trent Lott and my dad always tells me that I am more politcally conservitave then he is and thats quite conservitave....So you got my vote to hang around

BTW - I am a Dem, don't know if I'm a Liberal, (need your help here 1997), but I totally disagree with letting "anyone" into a higher education institute based on their race. I think all testing should be equal for everyone that wishes to apply to any higher education institute.

Oh Geez......If yall vote 1997 off then I guess I need to pack my bags too. In my world 1997 is not consevative enough..... I must ask all of you to please vote to keep him around. If he were voted out it may damage his self esteem and self worth. This would cause him undue stress in his already stressful existence. Also his turning 60 places him on the endangered species list and therefore is automatically protected by the government. So remember, if you vote him off you will be hunted down like rats by some wacko enviromentalist with a celery stick.....

A lot of good men have died to give us the right to believe what we want to believe and say what we want to say. If we all felt the sameway on everything then this world would be too boring for me to want to be a part of it. You have the right to say what you want, and if people don't like what you have to say then they don't have to listen ( or in this case read). I say stick around its the differences in everyone here that makes this such a great sight.
