CL ads are a constant source of entertainment for me. Poor grammar/spelling is simply laziness in my opinion. One of my favorites is the new spelling for the word "probably"...PROLLY. I see it all the time on forums and other online posts...how difficult can it be to enunciate a 3 syllable word?
I'm okay with it. That's part of the charm about Craigslist. I'd rather have to wade thru their grammar wreck than there be no ad at all. Not saying that these two things have to be mutually exclusive. But, if it's gotta be perfect before you can post it, there would be a lot less trucks for sale on CL. It seems kind of odd though that the skills needed to use a computer and create a CL ad can be obtained but not a basic command of grammar school sentence construction and spelling.

Same here
If you want to get a good boost of humor, go to the section of 'Cars and Trucks' for sale. Select 'all' then when the list of results appears - do a search for " RE: " (without the quote marks) that is the letters R and E then a colon. You will find people who re-post someone's ad header and then include their opinions of the vehicles they went to take a look at that were pieces of crap, misrepresented, or the sellers were whackos. Pure free entertainment right there. Of course the grammar on these posts will be quite bad typically but the raw responses are always fun to read.
I tried that search out here on the local CL but I guess that technique has not caught on here...no ads with a re-post. Seems like a good idea though, big problem locally is the shady shops advertising in the "by owner" section...really clogs up the listings with spam ads.
