Bought this truck about 2 1/2 months ago and today was the first time we drove the truck a high speed distance since I bought it. Until today, the highest temperature I have seen for the tranny was about 130. Today we drove from Fort Worth to Ford Hood, about 170 miles. Upon arrival there, I got out and smelled something. Crawled underneath, the whole undercarriage is sprayed. Dripping from the front universal, etc. No shifting issues, nothing, truck runs great. Drove back from Fort Hood, checked again, still all wet. Checked the level and it seems way high, I had checked it before, but never noticed the high level. Does that seem feasible? and where would it come out from. I am planning to take it to the dealer tomorrow and have the fluid and filter changed, as well as check everything out. All Thoughts would be appreciated.
I guess I would have the fluid changed and have them check for any possible leaks, My guess is it was overfilled by somebody and you finally got it warm enough to puke out the filler tube..
