Alright guys. I have posted several threads about glow plugs before but I have a couple questions now. I know a torque wrench is gonna be needed for these but does anyone what size and how much torque to apply?
I know my local part shops rent torque wrenches but I'm looking to buying them for the garage. So I'm looking for the one that is specifically used for Glow Plugs
I have a MAC Tools 3/8” fixed head and 1/2” flex head torque wrenches. I purchased them over 30 yrs ago and they still work great. I check the calibration on them from time to time. The 3/8” goes from 5 -75 ft-lbs. It covers a wide range of specs from clamps & valve bodies to glow plugs & injectors. The 1/2" goes from 30-250 ft-lbs and is used for most everything else.
