The last week or two my starter had been a little funky. I turn the key to start and there is a delay before it starts to crank. I'm actually thinking this is ignition switch related cause where the column is adjusted effects it.
However the last time I tries to start it there was a grinding/dragging noise and it turned slower. I haven't tried to start it since and intend to take a look at it this weekend. Ideas what I should be looking for, anything common?
Idk about what to look for in the column but a quick easy way to check the starter is turn the key to the "ON" position and jump the starter solenoid and see if the starter acts the same as if you were starting it with the key
