Hello all - I have 2 questions:
1) Does anyone know where I can get a dash louvre for my 03 Excursion? I believe that the part number is 2C7Z-19893-AAA. It is the right center vent in dark flint color. There are places online that allow you to order, but can not fulfill the order once you place it. Apparently they are obsolete. Local junkyards have turned up empty.
2) I was able to buy a dash louvre for the right side. How do I replace it? Do I have to remove the entire dash? The other 3 louvres are screwed into the back of the dash trim piece. This one appears to be built into the dash itself.
Mine rattles on the pass. side, but I've never tried to take it out to fix it. I would assume any you find will be weather/sun damaged and unusable. What's wrong with the ones you currently have, and where are you located? Finish your profile information and you might get better help
I live in Comstock Park, MI which is just north of Grand Rapids. The louvre is broken...I can't direct the left/right direction of air flow because the lever is broke off.
They move with the air flow, plus they look beat up so was hoping to "improve" the looks as well. I have some local Junk Yards so I will start calling around. I just thought it was so strange that I can order the other 3 louvres from Ford, but this is the only 1 out of the 4 that is discontinued. Seems bizarre to me.
