New to me 2002 Ex with 142k...
When driving next to a concrete wall on the passenger side of the truck and I
floor board the pedal the exhaust sounds like a "loud squish" sound. Not sure how to verbally describe it. Sounds like a plugged cat on a v-8 exhaust to me.
No codes/check engine lights etc.
Is there a better cat to go back with? I will be taking to a muffler shop to have fixed. It is a family car and I do not want loud pipes on this one.
Thanks
In my opinion the v10 has a unique sound, are you sure its not normal?
Maybe it the way its suppose to sound, I dont know. Sure seems like a plugged cat problem sound. I first noticed when my kid and I were playin around. I was driving my 13/6.2/cc/4x4 and he was driving the Ex. From 50 stomp the 6.2 ran off and left the Ex. but I could hear the exhaust noise. There was no competition, it was like racing a kid on bicycle, my 17 yr old was like..thats a v-10??
