What Is This Cable?

I'm a first time poster to this forum and I was wondering if anyone could help my identify this cable I have lose in the rear wheel assembly area of my 2002 Ford F150 XLT 4x4 SuperCab.

This is the rear drivers side where the cable is still attached

This is the end of the cable that is not currently attached on the rear passenger side.

This is the broken side. The hook that holds the cable in place is broken.

Does anyone know what this part might be? Thanks in advance.

If you look at the other wheel you will see it is the emergency brake actuation cable pull.
It pulls on the lever expanding the emergency brake shoes inside the center area of the rear discs.
Sooner or later emergency brake hardware rusts and comes apart and gets all jammed inside because there is no place for it to go or to fall out.
Good luck.
