Self test trouble code help
Hey guys I just finished a mass air conversion on my 5.8 it didn't seem to run right little surging might be due to excessive valve lash I need to fix anyways ran self test pulled flashes as 3,3,1,3,3 any one know what it is?

What year and model did the ecm come out of? That will determine whether you are looking at 2 digit or 3 digit codes. You may want to get a code reader instead of trying to jump out codes. They have come down considerably in price and are worth having as less and less shops have ones for obd1 systems. They also come with a book with the explanation of codes and how to pull them from KOEO CM and KOER
On a side note scale of 1-10 how hard was the MAF conversion and where did you get parts. Got an ecm out of a MAF conversion lightning and a meter but as RJM is apparently out of commission as of late I am looking in to other harness solutions

Ya it might be time to go ahead and buy one Xmas gift to myself. I got the conversion stuff from fiveology racing came with the Maf meter tuned for 24 lbs injectors the overlay harness that plugs into the injectors and the meter and the computer for 800 had to go this route for my e4od tranny. The only hard part is the reppinning just took forever and had to put holes in the plastic cover where no pin existed and the new pins had to go, they sell just the harness I believe great instructions.

Second "3" = 111 System Pass
These are all Key On Engine Off (KOEO) codes repeated.
The "1" is the Separator Flash between the KOEO tests and Continuous Memoru (CM) display.
The second set of "3s" is another System Pass meaning there are no stored codes.
