Posting Pic's from Master Catalog

Purchased the Ford Master Catalog and notice members have attached picture/illustrations from the Catalog and wonder if they were posted directly out of the catalog or does one have to upload them to a storage site before posting the pic in a thread??I have tried but unsuccessful.

Found it time consuming maneuvering through the Master Catalog and when I made a comment in a similar thread Bill; ND, posted a list breaking down the Master Catalog by their respective Sections and Group Number and although it still takes me forever I found this list helpful.

Hey before you get all hot & bothered with that, what happened with the spare truck?

John, interesting you should ask, it had to do with the cost of parts and labor in exchange for a 'Nordic Track' treadmill. A friends' wife, who regularly visits the family at the Lebec home, has observed my Nordic Track treadmill collecting dust for the past several years. Seem to recall I used it for about 6 months before it became a coat rack. Anyhow, apparently she wanted to purchase the treadmill and heard I wanted to get the 'spare' truck running so she suggested a barter which included her husband work on the truck; Walla, the truck is now running?? Intend leaving in next couple days to spend the holidays then drive it back, he's confident I should not have any problems with my return trip?? Go figure!

See where members have download illustrations off the Master Catalog CD and posted them in a FTE thread, I have not figured out how to do it. I use an online photo storage site for uploading and posting pic's.. Have to give the drag and drop, or print to file a try, it would seem if the illustration can be uploaded to a file on the computer it can then be uploaded to the online site?? Appreciate the info.

I open the PDF in Adobe Reader on a Windows system
Zoom to whatever magnification I want
Center the image at that zoom level
Then hit ALT+PRTSCN on the keyboard - this puts it on the Windows clipboard
Then I open Paint
On the new file I set my image attributes to 1x1
Then Paste - the 1x1 keeps me from having a large white space on the right and bottom edge
From there I can work with it some more by using Select to eliminate the Adobe title bar. Copy, do a new file without saving the first and paste again.
Then save to a file on your computer and upload as normal to your favorite hosting site or directly here.

There are also programs like Snag-It that let you choose an area of the screen to capture.

Hope that helps some.
